- The HEART OF ILLINOIS BIRD CLUB will be holding a BIRD FAIR on SUN FEB the 28th at the GRAND HOTEL (formerly the Ramada Inn) on Brandywine Drive in Peoria. Doors will open to the public at 9 am and remain open through 4 pm. There is a $2 admission fee and raffle tickets will be available for a variety of bird-related items. Our vendors come from all over the state and provide a good selection of discount cages and cage accessories; perches; nests and nest boxes; bird toys; bulk seed and dried fruits, veggies and nuts; spray millet and cuttlebone. Our breeders bring everything from finches and canaries to all varieties of small and medium hookbills (such as parakeets, cockatiels, conures, parrolets) to the largest of the parrots (african grays, cockatoos, amazons, and macaws) To book table space for the sale or for general questions, please contact Jodie at 309-645-7773 or Janie at 309-678-1379.
