This is Olive. She is about 3 Years old. I got her as a baby (4 months old). She was hand raised from a reputable breeder. She is very sweet and gentle. She says a few words, she can fly very well, and usually flies to my hand when called.Â
I love this bird. But unfortunately I cannot give her the attention she deserves. I am looking for a new family for her. It is important to me that she finds a loving home.Â
All parrots have a few bad habits and hers is that she squawks quite loud. She only does it for about 30 minutes around 8a.m, and 6p.m. The rest of the day she is fairly quiet. Unless of course she hears you come home. Then she gets excited because she knows you are going to give her some love. I would NOT call he squawking a scream. It is just loud squawking and it does not last long.
The important thing here is the habits that she does NOT have. She is so sweet and gentle. She has never ever bit either me or my husband. She is not overly destructive. She does like to rip up the occasional paper towel, but she has never torn up anything like wood furniture. When she is out of her cage she stays on her stand without adventuring away from it even though she can fly. When a stranger enters she might fly off of the stand and do a quick nervous flying circle, but she always lands back on the perch.
She will come with a cage, 2 play stands, food, and TON of Parrot toys. Please call, text or email me if you are interested. I am willing to drive and pord her off if her new home is not local.Â
