Male and female hawk-headed parrots. They have been DNA'D as male and female and I have their DNA certificates. Hawk heads are very hard to come by right now and finding a male/female pair is d*mn near impossible. Birds are housed side-by-side in cages but are NOT paired up and are NOT proven together. They have only been housed closely for a short period of time and are not ready to be housed together yet. Hawk heads are notoriously hard to breed and it will take time. They cannot just be 'thrown together'. Price for the pair is $5000. Shipping is possible at the expense of the buyer. I can be reached at 937-935-1771. I can text pictures/videos of them to those seriously interested.
Female (Gavuk) will be 4 years old in October, came from and was bred by an older Russian lady in Maryland. This was the last of her birds and clearly her pride and joy. She loves me and is easy to handle. She is not banded but is in near perfect feather. Beautiful girl and I hate to see her go.
Male (Percy) was sold to me from a pet store in Florida. He is Florida banded. I was told that he was born last October and was handfed. However, after having him a short time is it obvious that he is not a juvenile bird. He shows signs of wanting to be sexually active and has also plucked feathers on his legs, under his wings, and on his back (noticable when he spreads his wings). Hasn't plucked in the short time that I have had him. This boy has no fear. He wants to climb out of his cage and fly to your shoulder (wouldn't recommend allowing him to do that). He will also fly from person to person depending on who he feels like harassing at the time. He is rather easy to handle but he can be a real a$$ sometimes. Sometimes he wants to be your best friend, sometimes he wants to run across the ground trying to attack your feet. Laugh now until he gets ahold of one of your toes....
