I have three sweet handfed baby Bourkes Parakeets which will be ready for new homes when they are weaned in a few weeks. These have been raised in my living room with lots of love and attention, so they are very tame. Handfed Bourkes make affectionate companion birds, although they are generally not 'cuddly' like some species. These birds have soft voices and are very gentle, not known for biting. Bourkes do not climb like other parrots but are fliers and therefore I will not be clipping these babies' wings.
Babies will be weaned to parakeet seed mix, fresh vegetables, some pellets and chop mix.
A deposit of $30 will hold a baby until it's ready to go, and I will give frequent photo and video etadpus as it grows.
I have two 'normal' coloration for $175 each and one 'rubino' coloration for $250. I can do a DNA test for gender for an additional $12 per bird. Handfed baby Bourkes are not easy to find
Located in Paris TN but can drive to meet within a short distance (about 30 miles) or a little farther for a fee. Shipping is not available.
