Blue & Gold Macaw

This Macaw does not come with any gender confirming paperwork. Never opted to do it as it wasn't an important factor to us as we weren't ever going to breed.-











Born in 2019, she is 5 y/o. She's very very very laid back and calm, she is not a screamer and she isn't a loud bird by any means. We are her second family, the family she had before us had her for 3 years, us for 2.











We are not rehoming her due to anything of her fault. She's one of the best behaved Macaws I've ever met. She is very very friendly and has an amazing personality and loves to laugh with you at nothing. My dog is very old and has became a bit more unpredictable in her old age and I don't feel it's right for her (the macaw) to be in a cage or have to stay in the dining room all day because the dog can not be trusted anymore. I'd listed her before and decided I just couldn't go through with it but at this point, it's my only option besides keeping my dog locked up or her in her cage and neither is fair.











She is absolutely an outstanding friend to have and loves to be with people. She used to be able to be free flown but it's been about a year and a half since she's been out to fly. She eats a diet of pellet, nuts and sprouts and her chop base diet as well. Very healthy and very well cared for. She will stay on stand until you remove her, or on cage top. She has been around kids, cats and dogs and we have never had an issue with her being mean or anything. She does talk, and she talks very well and can be extremely funny when she wants. She will dance with you, or on her own. She pretends to make phone calls, she will ask to go outside, loves to watch the birds outside. She asks who is it when someone knocks on the door or will say "What do ya want?" She is extremely smart and is always learning. She'll let you flip her over onto her back, she loves if someone chases her and she'll laugh hysterically as she's running from you on the floor.





She is a super fun girl to be around and can honestly turn a bad day into a not so bad day. Very special bird. She does do well with other birds as well after a proper introduction. May slightly alter price for the perfect home for her, but within reason. Only trade I'll consider is one I can drive home/may do a partial trade as well but I am looking looking for anything specifically but wanted to leave options open as it's right after Christmas.

(The cage is estimated 62" tall or so, about 3 foot wide and 2 foot depth if I had to guess. It's a very good size cage and IT DOES come apart and will fit in trunk of a car for easy travel home when disassembled & I don't mind to disassemble it if someone needed me to meet them part way or deliver or anything.

She's truly an amazing girl. But I need to do what is fair for her and find her someone who has a lot more time than I do, and with worrying about my dog all the time, I feel so bad I don't have the time I once did.
