Plum Headed Parakeets

Two plum headed parakeets, brother and sister, banded. Hatchdate of February 2005, originally from Texas. Male talks and whistles, not with the clarity of some of his larger cousins but you can make out "pretty boy" and "good boy." They live in separate cages, but I will only sell them together. Male loves to hang out on your shoulder or hang from your shirt. Both birds are flighted and enjoy outside the cage time, they will go back to their cages when you feed them. They were originally handfed, but are not as tame as they used to be. Female is pretty wild, and plucks her chest to the down seasonally, but it always grows back. I've never bred them, they were pets. The male has absolutely stunning plumage. They have nice HQ free standing playtop cages I can also sell for an additional $50 per cage. They love dried fruits, also eat pellets, seeds, fresh foods with reckless abandon. ;) Pickup in Columbus, OH ONLY, no shipping. I prefer e-mail.
