Major Mitchell cockatoo

Looking for home for female Major Mitchell cockatoo. Age about 15 years old, I was told. She has only one leg due to a raccoon attack, there is nothing on that side at all. She is named Sweetheart and is very timid around new people. Other birds and dogs and strangers scare her, but she is OK in a room full of birds if everyone is in their cages. It will take a couple of months for her to accept you and you have to provide alone time with her. She needs a shower once a week because she has a dime spot on her back she keeps picked clean to have a spot to put food and eat off, that is the only feather picking she does. You have to remember her handicap because she does not and trust you to take care of her. Due to only having one leg she will fall asleep in you lap and roll off onto floor if you do not catch her so you have to watch out for things like that. This bird needs some one who has the time to spend alone with her, so if you have other birds you will need time for just her. Her re-homing fee is 300$ firm. She came out of a breeding situation and can not breed, so don’t think you can get a breeding Major Mitchell for 300$ because someone tried it for years and gave up. Her only value is as loving pet.
